October Blog

Construction is well underway and I can’t wait until everything is complete. Electrical is wired, drywall is nearly done, and my new porch is poured! This is a snapshot of what my future craft room is gonna look like… Yes, I’m doing color tiles in my Small Town Me brand. This room is going to be a dream come true! I’ll be sharing details on all of my finishing colors and details… in the meantime, sharing links to all my construction updates so far.

LV BAG 🛍️

I’m still getting so many questions on the Cute tote bag I made for my sister. This is a kit that comes in several different sizes. Linking it right here as well as the video so you can see the project in action.

PICTURE GALLERY ❤️

I had no idea how many or which picture for the photo wall… here are the details:

I started my wall with 23 pictures, but this is somewhat irrelevant. Start with as many or as little as you want because this is meant to grow with your family.

I did a variety of canvas and metal prints … ratio is close to 50-50

Main center focal point picture

(I printed mine on metal)

24x30

Other pictures are:

18x24

16x24

14x11

14x18

10x10

Again, the sizes you print are somewhat irrelevant and are going to depend on your wall size . A good rule of thumb is to print several. Of each size. making some of them portrait and some of them landscape.

Be sure to lay your pictures out on the floor in front of your wall to figure out the perfect placement. Take a picture to refer back!

Start with your middle picture hanging it in the middle of your wall and then work out from there.

This was a pretty chill read—nothing felt padded out, and I didn’t have to keep jumping back to figure out what you meant. The way you slipped in quick everyday examples helped a lot, especially when you explained the reasoning instead of just tossing tips at the page. I ended up clicking around newimage.io in the middle of it because it gave me the same “simple but useful” vibe when I want to check something fast. It also didn’t feel like copy‑paste advice; it sounded like someone who’s actually tried this stuff and learned what matters. And honestly, the page is easy on the eyes with clear headings and short paragraphs that make skimming super straightforward.

This was a nice read because it stays simple and doesn’t bury the point under a bunch of fluff. I liked how it actually explains the reasoning behind the tips, so you’re not just memorizing a checklist. Halfway through I ended up clicking around newimage.io for a minute since it has that same “straight to the point” feel when you want a bit more context. Nothing felt overly formal or copy-pasted, more like someone sharing what’s worked for them. Also, the way it’s broken up makes it easy to bounce between parts without losing your place. The short paragraphs and clear headings on the page make it really easy to skim.
