June Blog

I can't even believe how fast life moves... The vivid memories I have with my kid as a baby... a little doodly-doo... even his very first day of preschool. Now, he's graduated and off to college this fall. His graduation party is in a couple days, and I've been having so much fun putting together all the pictures and decorations. My advice is to not overthink and to just have fun and embrace the moment. All those pictures are going to surface so many memories of your kid. It's crazy how looking back, I can see his personality shine through in his toddler pictures all the way up to his teenage years. I am so proud of this kid and the grown man he is becoming. In case you missed it, here's a sneak peek of some of the decorations I'm putting together.

Father’s Day Gift Idea ❤️🥤

Fun Emily Fact: my dad and I have been making Root beer floats together on Father’s Day for as long as I can remember. A tradition we love, look forward to and cherish each year 🥰

What You’ll Need:

  • Wooden basket box

  • Acrylic paint

  • Cricut (if you don’t have one, you could always leave the words out, paint them by hand or I linked some sticker letters)

  • Foam brush

  • Rootbeer

  • Ice cream scoop

  • ‘Dad’ mug

  • Tissue paper

  • Picture of you and dad or cut out of magazine

  • Wood skewer

  • Construction paper

  • Tape

LET’S CRAFT!

  1. First, your going to print your saying from your Cricut (or however you're applying the phrase). Mine says ‘I’ll bring the ice cream’

  2. If you used a Cricut or sticker letters, put your saying on your wooden box, then take your foam brush and color of choice and paint over the letters, let dry, then carefully peel lettering off

  3. Choose other paint colors and use the opposite end of foam brush to make polka dots

  4. Let dry, then fill your vessel with root beer, fun ‘dad’ mug, ice cream scooper and tissue paper

  5. Grab the dad picture of choice (I used a magazine cut out), then cut out and place on construction paper. Add talk bubble and words of choosing. Tape everything together and then attach to wood skewer (like a little sign)

  6. Add all your other goodies to your vessel, and you just made the cutest Father’s Day gift that’s fun for everyone!
